About the Game

Prague: Magic Capital is an immersive, cultural-historical board game designed by Michael [Ваша Фамилия] that blends adventure, tactical movement, and asymmetric card combat. Set against the authentic 1,150-year-old mystical backdrop of the Czech capital, the game functions as both a tense strategic competition and an interactive guide to the city's rich gothic and esoteric folklore. The inspiration for this project follows the personal endorsement and design guidance of legendary game designer Klaus-Jürgen Wrede (Carcassonne), who noted: “Your game sounds interesting for me as a private player, and I would like it very much if it gets published!”

Gameplay & Unique Mechanics: The game operates on a calibrated Three-Tier Progression System designed to balance strategic choice and thematic immersion:

Phase 1: The Pilgrimage. 3 to 5 players take on the roles of iconic historical mystics, alchemists, and occultists who lived in Prague (such as Rabbi Loew, John Dee, Edward Kelley, Doctor Faust, and Gustav Meyrink). Moving through a tight path of 70 interconnected steps across a real city map, players must visit 14 authentic "Places of Power" (including Vyšehrad, Charles Bridge, and the Faust House) to gather magical "Superpowers". These act as essential shields to survive unexpected encounters with urban Phantoms, Demons, or institutional delays (such as document checks at the US and UK Embassies). Concurrently, players draw secret Milestone Cards to build a hidden score bank. Phase 2: The Ascent to the Duchy. Upon the first players reaching the final destination at the Vyšehrad fortress, they receive the title of Knights. The hidden Milestone Cards are then revealed and tallied. The top three players with the highest points ascend to become Dukes of Bohemia, while the remaining players are eliminated. Phase 3: The Sovereign Confrontation. The final sudden-death stage shifts into an asymmetric card-drafting duel. The remaining Dukes compete using a dedicated double-sided token and card system representing the historical Forces of Light (The Holy Grail, the Philosopher's Stone, Princess Libuše's Regalia) against the Forces of Darkness (The Golem, Lucifer, the Bridge Demon). A unique "Police" Joker card introduces a late-game tactical alignment shift, determining who will ultimately be crowned as the absolute King or High Priest of the Magic Capital.

Prague: Magic Capital balances low-luck movement (using a custom 1-3 step system) with intense hand management and tactical risk assessment, delivering a deep Euro-style experience wrapped in real European history.
