Race to Base 2017

Welcome to Valles Marineris International Park!

Valles Marineris was established in 2236 with the goal of creating a place for families and outdoor enthusiasts to appreciate the incredible and bizarre beauty of one of Mars’ most treasured landmarks.

On a hiking trip, a violent dust storm blankets the planet, forcing your group to take shelter. You must locate waypoints and rush back to base camp before your oxygen runs out.

Players will be given Heading cards, each with a trail color, a compass heading and distance. Using these cards players will work together to meet objectives given on the waypoint cards. If players are unable to continue finding objectives, they must draw a hazard card which will deplete their oxygen level faster. Three equipment tokens are given to each player which you can use at crucial times to help you reach base. The game ends when you are able to reach base and still have oxygen remaining. Three trails are included with different difficulty levels.

Rules for a head-to-head game are also included where players will go against each other attempting to complete the most waypoints. Whichever player has the most points at the end is the winner.
