About the Game

Players compete to be the sole survivor in a no-holds-barred series of power plays, standoffs, negotiations, and assassinations. Victory is gained by forcing other players out of cards and jealously guarding one’s own hand. Each player begins with a hand of cards each representing one of 15 different actions like stealing a card (Sword), countering/reversing effects (Mirror), or eliminating a player (Death). On a turn, players can play multiple of any single card effect before drawing to recuperate. Eliminating opponents is rewarded with a bonus turn.

This is accompanied with the legalization of every form of table talk including extortion, threats, bluffs, and the facedown gifting and exchange of cards (not always those agreed upon). The game is a diplomacy sandbox where player’s can creatively maneuver their opponents to their favor. Players have to make and break alliances and complete tense exchanges to gather the power they need to win.

At its core, Revenge is about outsmarting opponents through a mix of strategic card play and shrewd negotiation.
