About the Game

What is Rogue Chess? In five words: Advanced Strategy Cards for Chess. In more than five words... Rogue Chess uses cards to modify the move and capture of chess pieces. Each card is specific to a certain chess piece and when played will modify that piece's move, capture, and/or add a special effect. Every round a player may use a card or move as normal. Once the card is played, the player discards it and draws a new one. These cards are placed face up and everyone knows exactly what each other can do. In this way, you're still basically playing chess. Strategy is still king. However, you now have to play on your toes and by the seat of your pants. Rogue Chess will challenge your ability to adjust strategy much like actual battle. Because no plan survives contact with the enemy.
