Rough Roads 2026

In Rough Roads, players ride out the historical plank road boom and bust, laying down these wooden roads all around the New York City and northeast New Jersey area. You'll make money as you connect specific towns, and the more roads you have, the more tolls you will collect.

However, these roads will get more expensive to maintain as the game goes on. So not only will you have to build these roads, you'll also need to figure out ways to keep them affordable while keeping your connections. This can be difficult when connected to a booming town, as more traffic tends to wear down your roads quickly.

You'll do this all across the space of 4 rounds, taking 16 actions across the entire game. At the start of each round, you'll plan out your 4 actions, trying to anticipate your opponents' moves as you plot yours. Can you make the most money while keeping your roads from falling apart?
