About the Game

A terrifying monster lurks in its lair, waiting as cards pile up in the center of the table. Each trick risks awakening disaster: once all three colors appear, the accumulated cards surge forward like an unavoidable attack. Players try to survive the encounter, sometimes begging for mercy by relying on hidden cards to escape a catastrophic loss.

Rudira is a trick-taking game for three players using a 30-card deck in three suits numbered 1–10. Players must follow suit, and there is no trump suit. After each trick, the winner takes only the card they played, while the other two cards are placed in the central “lair.” If the cards played to the trick plus the cards in the lair include all three colors, the trick becomes a “predation trick”: rank strength is reversed, the lowest card of the lead suit wins, and the winner takes every card from both the trick and the lair. All captured cards are worth negative points equal to their rank. Once per round, a player may “beg for their life” by playing their hidden hand card face down instead of following suit, using it normally for trick resolution. The round ends when all hand and hidden cards are gone, and after three rounds the player with the fewest total penalty points wins.
