About the Game

Satisfaction is a trick-taking card game set in the world of Jane Austen's novels, featuring characters and settings from works such as Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Sense and Sensibility.

Each round, players set a trump suit, then take turns playing cards, with the highest-value card winning the trick, as in traditional bridge. Players can also score by playing the matching romantic partner to a character already on the table — for example, playing Mr. Darcy after Elizabeth Bennet has been played earns both players a point. However, if a romance goes unmatched, a Bad Suitor card played in the same trick lets that player steal the point instead, disrupting the match. Players fill a personal "dance card" with won tricks and completed romances, and must decide each round whether to keep playing for more points or bow out before losing everything to another player's trick.

The player with the highest score after five rounds wins.
