About the Game

The history of medicine is gruesome, painful and sad, but as Steve Allen taught us “Tragedy plus time equals comedy.” So I guess what we’re saying is that using a red hot poker to scorch your hemorrhoids is a pretty hilarious concept once we have 700 years distance.

In Sawbones, inspired by the amazing medical history podcast from MaximumFun.org, you are bumbling “Doctors” trying to save a dying patient. Since your knowledge of medice is often limited to “Put Leeches all Over Her” or “Transplant These Goat Testicles Into Him” your Patient is unlikely to survive. Lucky for you you have other Doctors to share the Blame with.

Pick the least worst medical practice you can and try and shift the blame to your fellow physicians. Be quick though as only the Doctor with the least Blame will win when the Patient croaks.
