About the Game

It's 1927. The streets of Sydney, Australia, are rife with thugs, hustlers, dealers, forgers, bookies, pimps, working girls and hard men. Sharks.

Do you have what it takes to secure your place as a crime lord of Sydney? Manage your cash, fuel your determination, build up your street gang and plan for the day when you finally take on one of the kingpins. And don't let your determination wane, lest the street sharks devour you.

Sharks is a deck-builder in only 9 cards, but featuring 36 real-life criminals from 1920s Sydney. Your hand of 4 comprises your gang, and you must use their resources to avoid, recruit or crush the adversaries you meet in the street. As you recruit better members to your gang, your adversaries also grow in strength. To win the game you must confront and crush one of the four acknowledged crime lords of the era: drug lord Charles Passmore, club king Phil Jeffs, sly grog queen Kate Leigh, or the formidable madam Tilly Devine.
