Shout the Clue 2026

Shout the Clue is a fast-paced cooperative party game about decoding words amid a chaotic flood of shouted hints. Each round, one player becomes the Decoder, trying to identify as many secret words as possible before time runs out. The twist is that the rest of the team acts as Informants, all shouting clues at the same time—each restricted by a specific constraint that shapes how they can communicate. Keeping calm and focused in the noise is just as important as clever wordplay.

At the start of a round, the Decoder reveals a word card to the Informants without looking at it and flips the timer. Informants simultaneously call out clues that obey their individual constraints, while the Decoder makes unlimited guesses. When a word is guessed correctly, the next card is revealed immediately; difficult words can be passed and revisited if time allows. As soon as the timer runs out, any unguessed words cause the Fiasco token to move closer to disaster.

After each round, roles rotate: a new Decoder takes over, and constraint tiles are passed so everyone faces different limitations over the course of the game. The team wins if every player has served as Decoder at least once without the Fiasco token reaching the bomb. If the token hits the bomb first, communication breaks down in spectacular fashion—and the team loses together.
