Simpan Baik-Baik (loosely, “Save It Carefully”) is a light economic board game themed around personal finance and savings. Set in contemporary Malaysia, players take on the roles of individuals navigating life’s financial ups and downs—making career choices, earning income, saving for retirement, and handling life’s unpredictable challenges.

The game simulates a financial journey through career decisions (Corporate Employee or Self-Employed) and life events represented by career, bitter & sweet, and savings spaces on the board. Players manage their earnings by collecting salaries, contributing to EPF savings, and reacting to event cards that introduce windfalls or setbacks.

Each decision—whether to further your education, buy a property, switch jobs, or continue working—affects your financial health. Players build their savings and EPF contributions while aiming to collect dividends and retirement bonuses. The game culminates at the retirement space, where players tally their cash, EPF savings, dividends, and retirement bonus.

The objective is to retire with the highest total wealth, balancing career growth, saving discipline, and responding wisely to life’s uncertainties. Rather than hoarding cash, the game rewards setting and achieving financial milestones along the way.

Simpan Baik-Baik is a family-friendly game (playtime: 30–45 minutes), designed to make financial literacy fun and relatable. Its simplified mechanics mirror real-world financial planning, helping players understand the importance of savings, income management, and adapting to life's surprises.
