Smok Wawelski 2018

Smok Wawelski is a dexterity game for children (with a light tactical element) based on the Polish fable of the Wawel Dragon (in Polish: Smok Wawelski), one of the legendary stories that describes the beginnings of the Polish state.

The Wawel Dragon persecutes the castle of King Krak. Many brave warriors and the heroic knights are trying to dash out the terrifying beast, alas, with no result! A clever plan is needed for such a monster. Shoemaker Skub just came up with this one.

Place the cardboard dragon in the middle of the table, then place the cardboard knights on his tail. Now, the goal of the game is to tilt the figurine to the surface the game is played on. The model works like a two-arm lever. Under certain load on the head side it plummets to the table.

Go on and help the artful craftsman to implement his plan! On your turn:

1. Roll the dice. 2. The result of the roll allows you to take off one knight from the dragon’s tail or to put an artificial domestic animal (like cow or sheep stuffed with tar and sulfur) into the dragon’s mouth. 3. By adding or removing figurines, you attempt to plummet the dragon to the table. If you managed to do so, you win! You may imagine that the monster — like in the legend — begins to drink water from the Vistula river…
