The Inori Expansion brings religion, spiritual influence, and shared belief into Sovereign: Shōgun, adding a new layer of pressure to the struggle for Japan.

Shinto, Buddhism, and Christianity enter the game not only as background, but as forces that can shape alliances, open new abilities, and change the way players look at Temples across the map. Your Daimyō still fights for land, prestige, and glory, but now belief can become a weapon, a shield, or a bridge to unexpected cooperation.

Inori introduces a Religion board, religious buildings, faith tokens, new Daimyō cards, and special abilities tied to the religions players follow. Temples gain new meaning, and every visit, conversion, and religious shift can slowly change the balance of the game.

This expansion also adds a bold new possibility: a team-based win condition. If one religion spreads far enough across Japan, the players who follow it may win together, with one of them rising as the major winner.
