About the Game

In Spit Bars, players take turns claiming the Stages of the '90s with their Rappers through the game's signature "place & bump" mechanic, battling for the crowd one rhyme at a time.

Before the game begins, each player drafts a Rising Star and a Crew through a snake draft.

The Crew grants a permanent power and, in some cases, different scoring conditions, while each Rising Star has a unique ability that activates at specific moments depending on the current game situation.

In addition to their Rising Star, each player also has a second Rapper at their disposal.

A game lasts 3 rounds (2 in a two-player game). During each round, Rappers choose a Stage, each with its own visible Crowd made up of different types of cards (Legends, Record Labels, Fans, Hypeheads etc.).

Even if a Stage is already occupied, a Rapper can bump the opponent at the cost of taking the Jeers from the rival supporters which are worth negative points.

Each type of Crowd scores differently. Will you be able to find the perfect balance between one last rhyme and going too far?

A round ends as soon as all Stages are occupied. Each player then collects the Crowd cards and Jeers in front of them in a hidden scoring pile, before proceeding to the next round.
