Spyre 2026

In the late 21st century, New York City is bursting at the seams. In an effort to create more space, developers begin construction of an island in disputed waters in Hudson Bay. While the states battle over jurisdiction, the city's powerful guilds spring into action, funding the creation of a city without regulation, entirely under their influence. Fueled by nostalgia for the Art Deco roots of the early 20th century, the city of Spyre rises from the bay as a monument to defiant liberty.

In Spyre, you will take on the role of one of the industrialists of the island city of Spyre. Each turn, you will construct a block containing houses or business that add to the city's economy. Players will often get in each other's way, or inadvertently help a rival. And always the Guilds will watch your every move to be sure that they get their money's worth and maintain power over the city.
