About the Game
Starfall Town and the Secret Box is a cute, family-friendly deduction game set in a quiet town where sparkling stardust falls from the night sky and turns into colorful gems. The children of the town gather these stardust treasures into their secret boxes and start a "Treasure Hunt Game," inviting a player to find where their precious gems are hidden.
The game uses a 1-vs-many structure on a 4x4 grid board (16 squares). One player takes on the role of the "Parent" (Guesser), while the other players act as the "Children" (Hiders). During the preparation phase, the Children secretly place colored gems, transparent gems, and stones inside boxes across the board and take matching answer cards to confirm guesses later.
During the game, the Parent chooses and plays Question Cards from their hand to gather clues about the hidden contents, asking questions and listening closely to the sounds of the boxes being shaken. Armed with this deduction, the Parent flips over boxes in the Answer phase to discover hidden gems. Finding gems awards points, but revealing a stone ends the turn immediately.
At the end of each turn after a player finishes their role as the Parent, points are calculated and recorded for both the Parent's discoveries and the Children's successful hiding. Once every player has taken a turn as the Parent, the game ends, and the player with the highest total score wins!
