About the Game

Starting Up is a game about entrepreneurship. Players will start a company to design and market a brand new product. They will have to take loans and partners and decide when to pay them off. They will test the markets with prototypes and develop their own skills on their way to have the hottest new product in the market.

Every turn is divided in the following phases:

Investors Phase: Players roll the dice to see how many new investors they can get. There are multiple types of investors like the Angel Investor, the Partner or a Bank Loan. They will get you money and boost your product but you can´t win the game util you pay them off. Market Phase: Improvement cards will be auctioned to the players. This will cost you money, but will improve your product. Balance Phase: In this phase, you can choose to test the market with you product. If you decided to do so, You´ll roll dice dependening on your product stats to earn money if you can roll above your costs. Investors will also take their share of your earning.

A new turn starts after the current one is over util someone has enough money to pay off all investors that he/she has previously acquired.
