About the Game

Stealing the Horizons immerses players in the sci-fi fantasy world of Khaeedorra, a setting brought to life by high-profile concept artists and indigenous storytellers. Players command specialized factions clashing amidst the remnants of a shattered world to capture the Horizons—powerful, floating objective anomalies drifting over a shifting landscape. The battlefield utilizes striking multi-tiered, 3D vertical terrain that reflects the high-stakes, lore-driven struggle to dominate the skies and secure survival.

The game plays like an "efficiency puzzle," elegantly bridging the gap between a tactical miniatures skirmish game and a zero-luck Euro-style strategy game. Players spend a limited pool of activation and support chips each round to move their units, navigate obstacles, and trigger powerful abilities. Combat acts primarily as a tactical delay rather than a traditional dice-fest, meaning positioning, managing fixed range bands, and utilizing distinct movement types—like soaring to higher elevation—are critical. Crucially, taking major objectives triggers an immediate Momentum Transfer, shifting the tactical advantage and forcing you to constantly calculate how your opponent will react before your next turn.

Victory is a strict race against both your opponent and the clock. To win, a player must efficiently navigate the board's spatial challenges to capture the Horizons and successfully register them at designated Beacons before the round limit is reached. Achieving this requires looking past simple luck to find optimal mechanical combinations—such as utilizing an Assault Tech's support action to drop a smoke token to shield a scoring Harrier from enemy line-of-sight. Whether playing a competitive multi-player match or navigating the strict logical constraints of the dedicated Solo Mode, the player who solves the battlefield's efficiency puzzle first claims ultimate victory.
