Story Time

Story Time was the Southern California finalist in the 2010 Rio Grande Games Design Contest.

Story Time is a competitive card game with a story writing theme. Each player chooses a character in the story and tries to guide the story so that his or her character fares the best. The pages of the story are represented by cards, with each card having both story text and game rules. The players build the story by taking turns adding pages. Several times during the game the story is read. During the reading, the game rules on each page of the story are followed in turn. Those rules will result in the players gaining or losing points depending on how well their characters fare in the story. At the end of the game there is one final reading, and the player with the most points wins.
