Storyboard Heroes 2026

Storyboard Heroes is a card game in which players create one or two comic strips by building a sequence of connected scenes. Each card represents a moment in an action-packed story featuring heroes, villains, and unexpected twists, and players connect cards using matching edge icons to ensure a coherent narrative flow.

During the game, players draft Scene cards from their hand or from a shared display, expanding their personal strips while adapting to changing opportunities. Reaction cards can be played to score points and introduce sudden turns in the story, sometimes even affecting opponents’ strips. As the comic strips grow longer, the narrative naturally moves toward its conclusion.

The final phase of the game introduces Finale cards, which can only be played once the last round begins and often require a complete narrative arc to be present in a strip. These cards represent the ending of the story and provide significant scoring opportunities.

At the end of the game, players score points from the Reaction and Finale cards in their strips, with possible penalties for unresolved elements. The player with the highest total score wins, creating a different and replayable comic-book story each time the game is played.
