About the Game

Texas Demons is a must-follow trick-taker played with dominoes (or domino playing cards). It combines the trick-taking rules from Texas 42, a traditional domino trick-taker, with a variation on the scoring system from Yokai Septet, a commercial card game designed by Yio & Muneyuki Yokouchi and published by Ninja Star Games. (Thanks to both designers and the publisher for permitting me to share these rules.)

The objective is to capture five Demons before you take too many tricks. Demons are double dominoes – or doubles – where the top and bottom numbers are the same (for example, 3-3 is a Demon).
