Things are changing in rin-tin-tinsel town. Audiences are tired of dogs! They’re wild about Chrumbo!

The 2026 Hollandays Freebie Game is about a charismatic goose working in Hollywood in the 1920s. The star of such silent classics as Ben-Honk and The Cabinet of Dr. Calagoosi can be boffo box office if you play your cards right. Each player takes on the role of a Hollywood professional with a different pet obsession. For example, the animal trainer wants stunts and spectacle, while the exacting, persnickety director is using the films as a vehicle for his own artistic prestige. Throw in the writer of the intertitles, the studio exec, and an ambitious Canada Goose who wants to take our star's place, and there's sure to be chaos.

Players add reels to films, matching the contents of the scene to what will make the film profitable (or not!). At the end of the game, they'll score each film that was finished. A profitable film awards positive points for each symbol matching your own personal scoring criteria, and an unprofitable one awards negative points - except it's the other way around for the Canada Goose, who is hoping to sink Chrumbo's career.
