About the Game

The Calling is a Social Deduction game where players are Investigators in the FBI, following up with reports of insanity and murders by the local docks. Soon after, the same symptoms begin to rise within the Precinct causing the Investigators to suspect the work of a Cultist of the whispered Cthulhu, acting as an Investigator by day, and doing the Profane work of the Deep one by night. The Calling plays similarly to most Social Deduction games with a day phase and a night phase, but the distinctive difference is that it is moderatorless, and part of completing a night action, players wake up the next person. The Calling also uses a "Murder Party" mechanic, where during the day any three players can band together to instantly kill a player, Dead players can also instigate or contribute to murder parties, allowing them a lot of power as the balance of alive and dead players tips towards final day. Finally All dead players become evil once dead, as the Cultist assembles an ever growing army of the dead, to help defeat the astute investigators.
