About the Game
The Game of Space is a wonderfully elaborate Space exploration game from Japan around 1969. The 3D game board has a winding path for players to travel through the Solar System. The path has a space station that is the central command post, players travel around the planets passing 3D red and green satellites, cosmic graveyard, Space Swimming pool and Solar flares. The players path has a plethora of pictures of real and fictional craft from the 60's. On the playing board are an placed an Alien, a Space beauty, monsters, gold and Uranium Ore.
Players construct a rocket that contains 4 astronauts, along the way they may lose astronauts and if all are lost the player is out the game. Players also receive various value cards to help their travel and include, energy, space food, Lifesaving certificates, License's and accident Prevention certificates.
Players spin a roulette Space station wheel with a ball that determines a number to move. As you travel around the board you can collect monsters, Alien, Space beauty, bet for food or energy with others using the Roulette wheel. Players can directly land on a planet and receive a merit badge to wear and receive points.
A player is deemed the winner by returning to earth and having the most points at the end of the game
