About the Game

The High Priestess is a solitaire game played with any standard 78-card Tarot deck. Each day for seven days, the High Priestess receives three visitors to her mountaintop temple. The visitors are looking for spiritual guidance, and the High Priestess imparts her knowledge to help them find balance in their lives. The game is played out over seven rounds. Each round a player draws 3 Major Arcana (Visitor) cards and attempts to find balance for them by playing cards from the Minor Arcana deck to both sides of each Visitor. The sum of the cards on one side of a Visitor must be equal to the sum of the cards on the other side. Also, the total sum of both sides must be equal or greater to the value of the Visitor card. The Minor Arcana cards may come from two different hands (the Knowledge Hand and the Experience Hand), each with its own limitations. Finally, the High Priestess has special abilities to manipulate the sums, at a cost. When the 3 Visitors have found balance, all cards in play are discarded and a new round begins. To win, you must find balance for all 21 Visitors before the Minor Arcana cards have run out.
