About the Game

The Lion & The Unicorn is a two-player competitive card game that combines Snap with English folklore. Set in an old town square, the game pits two legendary rivals against one another in a battle for territory and titles. Players embody these fabulous beasts, utilizing a standard Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck to test their pattern recognition and primal reflexes.

Gameplay centers on rapid card play and keen observation. As cards are revealed, players must watch for specific symbols and matching patterns that allow them to strike. It requires a sharp eye and a quick hand to identify the turning tides of battle hidden within the tarot imagery. The goal is to seize the spoils of the conflict, claiming cards from the opponent until one beast has taken everything and the rival is effectively drummed out of town.
