About the Game

From the inside box cover

"Treasure Island is a game of fun. Each player represents Jim Hawkins as he attempts to find the most pirate treasure. It is simple enough for a child five years old and yet exciting enough for to be a favorite with a person who is 12 or even older.

The object of the game is to obtain the most "pieces of eight", by moving your playing piece over the path of various shaped dots from start to finish."

This version appears to be a tie in to the 1950 Disney movie of the same name. The likeness of Long John Silver and Jim Hawkins are close enough.
