About the Game

Tricky Chess is a partnership trick-taking chess game for The King's Caste deck / game system. Through successive rounds comprising recruitment, deployment, and mobilization, each team tries to eliminate the other's two kings.

Recruitment is done through trick-taking. The card that wins the trick goes to the respective player's deployment zone, regardless of who won the trick!

After the hand is played out, players Deploy their units to the board.

Next, the teams play chess against one another with the units available, until four units are eliminated, at which point a new round starts, after a little preparation for the new round.
