About the Game

Trings is an abstract game played on an hexagonal grid, each player starting with three kinds of pieces : 4 rings, 4 pipes and 4 pins. The pin fits into the pipe which fits into the ring.

The aim of the game is to complete four "Towers" : a pin within a pipe within a ring, outside of the starting positions.

Rules Red starts, then turns alternate. In his turn, a player may move a piece to an adjacent empty intersection, or he may jump over another piece (combined or not) if the next intersection in the same direction is empty. Multiple jumps are allowed, as well as changing the direction after each jump. Players may stop jumping at any point. Passing is not allowed. The player may end his move or jump by placing his piece "in" or "over" a piece of his own color. A pin can only be placed in a pipe, and a pipe in a ring; a ring can only be placed over a pipe and a pipe over a pin.

Combining pieces in a starting position (marked with a dot) is not allowed. Combining a ring over a pin or a pin in a ring is not allowed.

When an intersection is occupied by 2 or 3 pieces, they can't be moved again. The first player to make four Towers on non-dotted intersections win.

Extra There are two board sizes : a small one for two players, and a large one for 3-4 players. Red starts then other players alternate turns clockwise. Other rules are identical.
