About the Game

Triumvirat consists of a triangular board with 28 molds and 18 spheric marbles in three colors of three sizes. In the beginning the marbles of each color are situated like this: One large in the corner, two medium sized in the two molds in front of it and three small ones in the three molds before them.

At every turn the player moves one marble, just to the next mold or jumping over other marbles, also combining a number of jumps in one move, if possible. The marbles jumped over may be taken away. Similar to Halma until here, the main difference is that the marbles can only capture marbles the same size or smaller. Because of the very limited space the game is fast and allows no false move.

Played with two players the marbles of the third color just stay at the starting position and will not be moved. The space is even more limited now ...

The first player with only one marble left, loses. The winner is the one with the most points left on the board: The big marble counts 3, the medium sized 2 and a small one 1 point.
