About the Game
In Tromsø, each player takes charge of a research facility in the icy north of Norway. Step by step, they build a new research station covering various fields of study, while also making it fully operational with utility lines, perimeter security, and antenna masts.
In each round, players select action tiles and use their actions to construct station modules, lay electricity, water, and oil pipelines, build floor sections, deploy workers, erect antennas and fences, or advance along the research track. They must expand their station as efficiently as possible, transport resources, and create valuable groups of matching modules.
Throughout the game, players earn research points for well-placed elements, connected utility networks, professors, research progress, installed floor sections, and delivered resources. The aim is to score the most research points through efficient planning of your own research station. The player with the highest score at the end wins as the most successful research station director.
