About the Game

Of Partnerships, Tricks, and Usurpations. The royal court has assembled and two rival partnerships square off in a contest of wits and cunning as they vie for their place in courtly proceedings.

Trounce is a partnership trick-taking games based on the traditional card game Euchre but reimagined for the six-suited Decktet. Partnerships compete over a series of deals to both win the most tricks and win the most cards of a bonus scoring suit. Partnerships must make a calculated gamble on what suits to order up for the trump and bonus suit, for if they fail to meet the objectives they will be usurped by their opponents! Crown cards may give you the upper hand in winning a trick, but be wary of other Crowns, which can Trounce a previously played Crown and steal away your victory!

Trounce requires a set of Decktet cards to play. The game is tended for four players (in two partnerships), but has variants for 2- and 3-player modes.
