About the Game
Twilit or Twilit Poker is a poker variant for two to six players played in No-Limit mode. The rules for blinds, betting, and hand rankings are the same as in classic poker.
Initial deal:Five cards are dealt to each player. Each player chooses three of their cards to place face up in front of them; the remaining two stay face down (though each player may look at them). Then, a first betting round takes place.
Draw-and-discard cycles (three repetitions):One card is dealt to each player. Starting with the player to the left of the big blind, each player discards one card face up in front of them.
If the discarded card was a face-down card, it is simply placed as a face-up discard. If the discarded card was a face-up card, it is placed as a face-up discard and the player must turn one of their face-down cards face up in order to always keep exactly three face-up cards and two face-down cards in their hand. Then a betting round takes place.
Showdown:After completing the three cycles, the players reveal their final hands. Only the five cards that remain in hand count to form combinations; the face-up discards are not part of the final hand.
End of the game:Each hand ends with the showdown. The player with the best combination according to classic poker rules wins the pot. The game continues for the agreed number of hands or until the usual winning condition in No-Limit mode is met.
