About the Game

You've been summoned to Castle Slogar to celebrate Melissa's 9th birthday … again! But the party has gone awfully awry. Guests are scattered throughout the labyrinthine castle, and Lord Slogar is missing! It's up to you to lend a hand, or a foot, or whatever you can spare to save the party and rescue Lord Slogar.

Unhappy Birthday at Castle Slogar is a sorrowful solo gamebook filled with interactive puzzles. A full map of the castle shows which rooms you've explored. The book's sections describe each room, where you'll face a horrible hindrance or a character whose dismal dilemma you'll solve to access the next room. Having trouble?
