About the Game

Welcome to Venus! I hope you kept your Martini Henry clean and ready for action. Whether it is the Prussians or the local wildlife, you are going to need it.

Venusian Hammer gives you the rules needed to play Victorian Scifi battles on Venus. The game uses the popular Squad Hammer engine, featuring unit-based combat that can be understood in minutes, but which offers a great deal of flexibility and unit cooperation.

The game provides mechanics for regular infantry (including several alien mercenary types), heavy weapons, dinosaurs, giant bugs, walking "fighting machines" and even balloons, letting you experience the full range of 19th century Venusian combined arms warfare!

Points values are provided for pick up games.

The game is really aimed at people who want to try and create their own armies: Pick miniatures you like, maybe kitbash a cool fighting balloon and create some fun terrain. A deeply personal army that is unique to your gaming table.

A typical army has 5-8 units, so you can build armies on the cheap. Any figure scale you enjoy will work. In smaller scales units can be built as single-base units with multiple figures per base, while in 28mm, we suggest 5 figures per unit.
