About the Game

THE SERIES The Fast Clash Series is a new line of games designed to be played quickly, replayed often, and always enjoyed. Streamlined rules with no downtime let players jump straight into the action. Each title focuses on early 20th-century (1900–1925) battles at tactical, operational, or strategic scale. Components are high-quality, with maps and game elements that are intuitive, visually appealing, and satisfying to handle—everything is crafted for a smooth, intense, and widely accessible gaming experience.

THE GAME Verdun 1916 simulates the World War I battle between French and German forces, fought from February 21 to December 15, 1916.

COMPONENTS The game includes a large map of the Verdun battlefield, two High Command player aids (one for each side, featuring loss and morale trackers), 30 position cards to be placed on the map, and 48 action cards. Units can be represented in two ways: with wooden blocks (short or long—blue for France, green for Germany) or using a counter sheet of 81 die-cut tokens. Two six-sided dice are also included.

SCALE Infantry: A small block represents either a battalion (standard or Stosstruppen) or a group of 60 artillery pieces. A large block represents a regiment. Each time track increment equals approximately 10 days. The map covers an area of roughly 25 x 30 km.
