About the Game

Von der Erdenscheybe is a four-player version of Kosakenschubsen, the hand-crafted finger flicking game by Dieter Zander from Historische Spiele Zander, published at Essen Spiel 2012. All 4 participants play against each other. Again, it's about pushing the opponents off the board and trying to get to the middle of the game by advancing and thus winning. However, the board is designed in a completely different way: You now have a square board, which has a slope in the middle and ups and downs distributed over the board, creating natural "safety bunkers". In the beginning you can only hit the outermost discs of your neighbors directly, for everything else you have to make use of the round peg in the center of the board, and cleverly and accurately calculate the rebound.
