About the Game
Back in the mid-1960s, Milton Bradley published a pair of wonderfully sexist games: WOW! (for girls) and POW! The Cannon Game for Boys. The games are essentially the same: dexterity games that consist of sending a small projectile over a barrier with the intent of knocking over the opponent's pieces.
The theme of WOW! is a pajama party. the playing pieces are girls engaging in a pillow fight and a house mother. The game board is divided into two sections by a cardboard barrier. Each side has a plastic bed with a small pillow. The bed acts as a catapult to send the pillow over the barrier to try to knock down the opponent's pieces. As described in the directions, WOW! is "a safe, fast-action game..."
