About the Game

Way of Honor is a competitive pirate card game for 3–5 players set in the Age of Piracy. Each player commands their own fleet of ships. Together, the players face off against Spanish forces to clear the way to the Spanish treasure fleet and then plunder it. In the process, each player earns glory points while pursuing their own interests.

All ships have four basic stats: number of cannons, range, maneuverability, and speed. These stats determine the ships’ respective characteristics and capabilities. Throughout the game, ships, pirates, captains, and events are used to strengthen a player’s fleet and influence the battles against the Spanish forces.

At the end of a round, the strength of the participating fleets is calculated by adding up the values indicated on the cards played. The pirate cards depict unique historical pirates. They have their own stats and special abilities and can influence the course of a battle. When a pirate card is played, a coin toss is also used.

Players must skillfully deploy their ships and cards to overcome the Spanish forces and gain access to the treasure fleet. They can then plunder the Spanish treasure fleet and earn glory points.

The player with the most glory points at the end of the game wins.
