Cats vs Ghostlings is a 2–4 player abstract strategy game where glowing ghostlings lure curious cats through a moonlit forest.
Cats can’t resist chasing mysterious lights, especially the whimsical ghostlings drifting between the trees. Each turn, players place ghostlings tokens throughout the forest, carefully positioning them to attract cats and set up scoring opportunities.
Every game features a unique scoring condition determined by a random card, ensuring no two playthroughs feel the same.
The game ends when a player can no longer legally place a ghostlings token. At that point, players tally their points to see who has best guided the cats to their advantage.
It’s a strategic tug of war, as players compete to position cats in just the right places, maximizing their scoring based on how their ghostlings are placed around cats when the game ends.
