About the Game

Word Factory is a word-spelling game for two to four players, where players will be taking letter tiles from a central hopper board and adding them to their assembly line to try and make words.

It has been released as a print-and-play game that requires only three sheets of paper to be printed out, along with letter tiles pilfered from a popular, well-known game that rhymes with Brabble.

Each player gets a player board that shows an assembly line, and then two areas to the left and right of the board: a Fallout area, where unused or extra letters are placed which count against you, and a Word area, where the letters from spelled words are collected. At the end of the game, players simply score the number of letters in their Word area minus any letters in their Fallout area.

On a player's turn, they will select one of the five available hoppers in the central factory board, paying a letter to the board per hopper skipped. These letters will be added to their assembly line, and if there are too many letters some will be discarded to the Fallout area. Then that player must refill the empty hopper on the central board, and (optionally) play a valid word that they have built on their assembly line. Players will receive bonus letters if they build long words.

The player who operates the most productive assembly line, wins!
