About the Game

Word Race is a race to make words from letter tiles as they are turned over — and to expand your words or steal your opponents by adding one or more letters.

There's a pool of letter tiles, which players turn over one at a time. All players then try to spot words that can be made with the available letters, shouting out a word to claim it. You can make a word using just letters from the central pool, by adding one or more letters from the pool to a word that's previously been claimed, re-arranging its letters as needed. This can be done either to expand one of your own words or to one of your opponents', in which case you take the word off them.

The challenge involves coming up with words quickly as soon as letters are turned over, thinking of how existing words can be expanded with additional letters, and forming words that are hard for other players to steal.
