About the Game

Zombie Overlord is a competitive deck-building card game where players take on the role of powerful undead overlords in a ruined, post-apocalyptic world. Instead of surviving the outbreak, players embrace it, luring desperate survivors from the wasteland and transforming them into loyal minions. Each survivor is drawn by specific resources such as ammo, fuel, food, or medicine, shaping the strategy and identity of every player’s growing horde.

Throughout the game, players build and refine their decks by acquiring trap cards, deploying actions, and managing resources to attract and convert survivors. Once captured, survivors become permanent minions that strengthen a player’s engine and contribute to future turns. Traps can be used not only to lure survivors more effectively, but also to generate supply, disrupt opponents, and provide defensive or offensive advantages. Players must balance efficiency, timing, and interaction as they adapt to an evolving board state.

Direct player interaction is a constant presence, with attacks, defenses, and strategic interference playing a key role in the game’s flow. Players can use their minions and abilities to weaken opponents, bypass defenses, or protect their own position. The combination of deck-building and player-versus-player combat creates a dynamic experience where no two games unfold the same way.

The objective of the game is to reduce your opponents’ life totals to zero while maintaining your own. Each player begins with a set amount of life, and through careful planning, resource management, and tactical aggression, one overlord will rise above the rest to dominate the wasteland.
