About the Game

complex is a card game for two would be real estate investors. Played over a series of rounds, each player uses their own deck of 15 Capital cards, players blind bid to purchase Duplexes, Triplexes, and Quadplexes across three suburbs.

The player who bids the highest acquires the available property, while the player who didn't bid the highest gets to move their Capital card to their Capital and use that card's one time ability (with ties being broken by the player with The Upper Hand).

At the end of a round, if player has more Properties than Capital cards, one of their Properties becomes distressed (losing its value).

The game ends when a player has no cards left to draw or there are no Properties left to bid on. Players gain points for their Properties (with complete sets in a suburb being worth additional points) and cards in their Capital.
