About the Game

マナとぴあ (manatopia) is a game of social manners from Japan. Players try to score positive points by following ever more complex rules, and avoid negative points from their errors being spotted.

In Japan, handing over and receiving business cards carries an important social etiquette. There is a particular way to hand the card over, and a way to take it and handle it that shows respect to the other person.

In this game, players take turns handing business cards out and taking them. But the social rules change for each card, based on the colour of the card and the type of business. Players must try to follow the complex rules and not get caught out.

At the end of the game, the players' net scores are totalled up and the player with the most positive total is the winner, being the most socially adept and well-mannered. user summary
