About the Game

norT is a two-player futuristic programmable-movement Print and Play racing game that plays out on a 20x20 grid. Players must avoid the outer walls, explosive mines, and even each other.

Players choose from three different racecars that have different characteristics: a car that's easier to turn will have less varied special abilities.

At the start of each turn, the race grid is covered so it can no longer be seen.

Two D6s are then rolled. The numbers rolled indicate possible Speed values. A single die result can be used for its face value, or the two face values can be added together or subtracted. So a roll of 3 and 4 present valid choices of either 3, 4, 7, or 1.

After the roll, players try to be the first to call out a Speed Value and a Direction (Left, Right, or Straight). If the fastest player's Speed Value call was valid, they have won the 'Call', and the player marks on the paper what they called out. The other player will then, at their leisure, choose a different valid Speed Value, as well as a Direction, and marks this on the paper.

Only after both sets of movements are written down is the game grid uncovered, and lines are drawn indicating where the cars have traveled. The player who won the call draws their line first.

A player wins when their opponent explodes. If both racers survive 18 rounds, then the player who traveled further during the Straights wins.
