Designer's Description

This wonderful game, Arydia: The Paths We Dare Tread, hardly needs any improvement. Nonetheless, I wanted a bit more storage and gameplay organization - essentially to take care of the bits and bobs that are not part of the individual character setups. These files essentially repurpose the box space used up by the cardboard spacers in the original box to allow for efficient, space-saving, organized storage (with easier setup and take down). I also provided some generic box shapes if you do not have the Epic Hunt and Small Bodies expansions to fill in the gaps in the box. In the gallery above, you can see the packing order in the box as well. Here are the STL files and how to use them:

AP_Bin - You should print two of these. They go on the right side bottom of the box when packing, under BOX-LG2. I use them for gameplay storage of Wound, Wear, and Armor tokens (and thus I can leave the rather awkward square plastic containers that hold the rest of the tokens in the box).

AP_Cabinet_1 - This drawer goes in the Yellow Cabinet (see file description below and in pics). It holds the 4 Hit Dice and the 9 new character skills from the Epic Hunt expansion.

AP_Cabinet_2 - This drawer goes in the Yellow Cabinet (see file description below and in pics). It holds the Foe Base Rings (large and small in different sections).

AP_Cabinet_3 - This drawer goes in the Yellow Cabinet (see file description below and in pics). It holds the Kae. Consider it your bank!

AP_Cabinet_4 - This drawer goes in the Yellow Cabinet (see file description below and in pics). It holds various round tokens - XPs, Events, Glyphs, and Chest/Cart together.

AP_Desk_1 - You should print two of these. These drawers go in the Yellow Desk (see file description below and in pics). Each one holds 3 types of Attribute Tokens.

AP_Desk_2 - This drawer goes in the Yellow Desk (see file description below and in pics). This drawer holds the Level tokens and the Skill Mastery tokens.

AP_Epic_Hunt - This is just an empty space filler with the same dimensions as the Epic Hunt expansion box. If you use the expansion box (like in the gallery pics here), you don't need to print this.

AP_Green_1 - The "Green" files go together to replace one of the cardboard inserts and are green in the gallery pics. Print one of each. This one includes storage slots for the Squill, Mode token, Travel tokens, Party token, Threat and Combo trackers, and poison token (or that can be stored in the Path of Shadow box).

AP_Green_2 - This is just a space filler. I use it to store some of the punchboard components in baggies that are not needed anymore (like from the Quick Start setup, unused name tokens, etc).

AP_Green_3 - This is also a space filler. It is actually an addition from the original cardboard spacers. I didn't like the open gap in the original setup so I created this box to just keep it filled in. I also store a few unused components in it's space in a baggie.

AP_Small_Bodies - This is just an empty space filler with the same dimensions as the Small Bodies expansion box. If you use the expansion box (like in the gallery pics here), you don't need to print this.

AP_Yellow_Cabinet - The "Yellow" files go together to replace one of the cardboard inserts and are yellow in the gallery pics. Print one of each. This one holds drawers for components that are generally used in play. During the game, I just remove the drawers and keep them nearby as efficient organization for needed parts.

AP_Yellow_Desk - This one holds drawers for components that are generally used only when leveling up (or swapping characters after a rest). So it can be set aside and pulled out as needed.

NEW FILES - I have created a base system for the map tiles. I had problems (like most people I suspect) with the map tiles either curling up a bit on the edges or bowing from the middle. They also tended to spin and slide around on my table. Ugh! So I created 3D files for flat bases that match the map sizes (small, medium, big, and long). Once printed out, I stuck on vinyl sheets (on Amazon, search for Flexible Steel Vinyl Magnetically-Receptive Sheet | 0.025in Thick | Letter Size 8.5x11 inch | Adhesive Backed Peel and Stick) cut to size. I also got small magnets (also from Amazon: small round rare earth magnets) to hold the map in place. And it works beautifully! No sliding! Perfect borders as maps expand and are laid next to or on top of each other! I even added a small magnet to the bottom of each character and they now stay put on their space. It's a bit of a cost for the magnetic sheets ... but really nothing compared to the investment in this game. Anyway, the files are here if you want them. See the pics for how it looks in play.

Note that for the Small and Medium bases, they are one file. For the Big base, it is one file that needs to be printed out four times, then assembled. For the Long base, it is two separate files printed once each. I had to do it this was since the Big and Long maps were just a wee bit too long for my printer.
