🎯 Design Focus
  • Practicality and efficiency
  • Fast setup and cleanup
  • Clear and readable organization
  • Easy handling of all components

Most trays are fully usable during gameplay , allowing players to place them directly on the table.

In the example shown:

  • Black trays → Base game
  • White trays → Expansion
  • Teal elements → Structural fillers intended to remain in the box
  • Other colors → Mixed components
📦 Box Organization
Modular Base Structure

The insert uses a modular base composed of 4 interlocking parts that fit snugly into the original box and create dedicated zones for all board components. This base is adapted from a design by RiftForge 3D3 .

The central circular area was modified to accommodate the custom tile tray included in this design.

Circular tile tray

A custom circular tray has been designed for weapon tiles with the following goals:

  • Clearly separated zones for each tile type
  • Excellent visibility and accessibility
  • Direct use during gameplay
  • Improved table presence

This element significantly improves handling of frequently used tiles.

Ressources trays with hinged edges

The resource trays use integrated flexible edges designed primarily to maximize space efficiency inside the box .

This articulated design allows the walls to adapt slightly, reducing gaps between components and enabling a tighter layout, while still allowing easy access during gameplay.

Dedicated resource trays for all tiles

The insert includes dedicated trays for all resource types (red, orange, green, and blue) , designed for high visibility and easy access during gameplay.

Each resource type is split across two separate trays , allowing them to be distributed around the table so multiple players can access them comfortably.

Base Game & Expansion Separation

A strong emphasis has been placed on clearly separating base game and expansion content.

Components are organized using contrasting color schemes (black and white) , making them easy to identify at a glance.

Specific elements such as boats and islands are stored in dedicated modules to avoid any confusion during setup.

(a few optional) Magnetic components

Two elements include optional magnet integration to improve handling of tightly fitted parts.

Magnets make it easier to remove and reposition trays, especially when accessing deeper layers of the insert.
