Designer's Description

This is a roll-up 3D printable version of the Onitama board game.
It includes the base game plus the Sensei's Path and Way of the Wind expansions.

The bins are split into 2 separate containers that are attached to each other through threads:

  • A container for the minis.
  • A container for the card tiles. The red tile bin holds the base game tiles while the blue tile bin holds the expansion tiles and the expansion's Wind Spirit mini.

Most of the bottom of the minis container is floating because of the threads that screw onto the card tile container. I used support material to print this bin piece. I didn't test without support material or without any supports at all.

There are 2 versions of the bin lids:

  • Plain lids.
  • Lids with QR codes with links to the rulebooks, for convenience.

To print the QR code lids you will have to print the discs with QR codes separately using a 0.2mm nozzle and then insert the disc into the lid midprint. The QR code lids are designed with a hole to be filled by the disc. The print profile should already have a pause at the respective height, but I recommend checking the preview to make sure that there's indeed a pause around height 3.24 before printing, just to be safe. The QR codes must be printed using a 0.2mm nozzle, otherwise they won't work (the 0.4mm nozzle doesn't have enough resolution).

I recommend printing the cards and minis using a 0.2mm nozzle as well.

I've included multicolor versions of the minis, but so far I've only tested the single color versions.

Disclaimer: the board, bins and card tiles are original designs, but the minis are from other creators. Credit goes to:

  • guilherbot for the master and student models (original models available here ).
  • Unfortunately I'm not being able to find the original model for the wind spirit in order to credit the original creator. Note that the wind spirit model in this set does not correspond to the design of the original game, but I wasn't able to find a model for the original. The one included here is an unrelated model that I found that I thought looked cool and fit into the theme of the game.
