The Colonists aka Die Kolonisten storage boxes

These are boxes for the board game The Colonists. It's designed to be combined with this project: www.thingiverse.com/thing:1945649. (That project gives you trays and covers for buildings, hexes, resources, and the supply sheds. My copy, I left the cards+hexes for each age in their own bags, so hex storage trays might not be as necessary. I only printed 4 building trays, and I think the original project suggested 5.)

My project gives you storage for the workers (Farmers, Citizens, and Merchants) as well as a box for tools, and a box for money.

I put the building trays on the bottom, with the next layer being the resource tray, supply shed tray, and my 5 storage boxes. (It can be a tight fit, but was designed not to slide around.)

Boxes are made to be extruded.

I am breaking free of an awful habit - using boolean to make things. Extrude+scale the top inward, grab the resulting top down into the box. It's easy enough to learn.

The lip for the bottom is extruded+scaled out from the bottom face, extrude down.

I design a .5mm gap between the top and base walls, so the boxes are able to be opened (without having to extensively sand/smooth things down.)
